Lilacs are my favorite flower and I really want to make a collection of art centered around them at some point. Taking that into consideration, I thought I should practice drawing them. I'd love to do some surface pattern design eventually with lilacs and allium, and tulips three very prevalent flowers that bloom on Mackinac Island in the spring. I'd like to do a series of patterns that will compliment each other and be themed around the island.
